SHUNTING MOVEMENTS OVER LEVEL CROSSINGS.
When a shunting movement is about to take place over a level crossing, and such movement is not controlled by a fixed signal, the Guard or Shunter must not authorise the movement until he has come to a proper understanding with the Signalman or person in charge of the crossing.
